With the popularity of satellite television system to increase, not a surprise for us to see the service being tested out on computers. Computers are as important as television today as people spend many hours at the computer. Thus, we introduced a new satellite TV on PC system. Dealers are now selling software that can be used to install satellite TV on your PC. Many people would be attracted by this, but the idea of watching satellite TV on my PC does not seem real. There is much concern about the reliability of satellite TV on PC.

Firstly, satellite TV on your PC depends on the speed of the Internet to your PC. Although the Internet speed is very fast today, is still very unstable when it comes to consistency. Internet speed is sometimes too fast and could also be very slow. Therefore, this will greatly affect satellite TV on PC. There is also the server on which we should think. Once the server is down, we can not access the Internet and therefore there is no satellite TV.

In addition, the PC system could give us enough problems as virus attacks, correcting mistakes and other problems. When this happens, we must set the format and the PC and this will have plenty of time. The worst thing is that this thing could happen again and again. With television you never have to face this kind of problem. On the technology side, I really think that the satellite on your PC is a very intelligent. However, there are many complicated things related to it. First, there is a set up procedure is very complicated. We do not get customer support that kind of thing. So if we make a mistake, nobody will help us.

When I put the two satellite TV system side by side, the price of satellite-to-PC is really cheap compared to satellite television system. The cost satellite-to-PC is about half the price of one-month subscription with Dish Network. However, being cheap does not mean they can offer as well. In addition, satellite-to-PC has many limitations like screen size. In most cases, the monitors are only 19 "in size.'s Certainly not enough to satisfy my viewing needs. If there are 5 people in your family, the 19" is clearly insufficient for the whole family. Everyone would have to push to get a clear view.

I would not go for satellite-to-PC. I'd rather spend more money and subscribe to Dish Network. By spending more, I will get the entertainment that I desire, image and sound quality, stable, and customer support. However, the choice is certainly debatable, for those with a tighter budget. The satellite-to-PC could be adapted to those who spend all day in front of the computer.
